M485-Eth-Can-MTCP is useful for data exchange between Modbus devices and CAN devices. M485-Eth-Can-MTCP is a Modbus TCP server and acts as a slave unit in Modbus RTU network. It supports four communication modes: Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU, Can-Ethernet Convert and Pair Connection.
The main function of the M485-Eth-Can-MTCP is Can for Modbus TCP / RTU gateway. It allows Modbus TCP / RTU to communicate with CAN device on a CAN network. M485-ETH-CAN-MTCP supports the function codes 0x03 / 0x04 / 0x10 for Modbus TCP / RTU for reading and writing CAN messages.
In addition, the device supports a transparent, protocol independent transfer of CAN messages, Which enables the implementation of it in a wide range of possible applications. Furthermore, the Can-Modbus converter can be used with various higher layers of can protocols (eg. Canopen, DeviceNet or other proprietary protocols).
